She gives a ride to Alaska Department of Fish and Wildlife expert Josh Talarkoteen who was stranded with two flats. When a cub becomes endangered, c he fretfully thinks back to the nightmare of another child in Afghanistan. Josh soon comes to Kenzie's camp to search for the lost cub that he knows is a Changeling just like Kenzie is as he belongs to the Tahltan tribe who read auras. Changeling Dawn Dani Harper Books Reviews
Good read. I would purchase others in the series.
This isn't your typical paranormal romance. It's about werewolf's or changelings as they prefer to be called. This is part of a series of three and all three were good to read and kept my interest.
Good books if you like paranormal romance with some pretty steamy romantic scenes.
Absolutely great book. Complex characters with a suspenseful storyline. Easy to follow, but never boring. The first two books of this series were great, but this one was exciting with strong lead and supporting characters.
Ok, at this point I am so hooked on this series that I would like to put the next one on my pre-order list even though I don't even know when it will be written!
The leading charactor in this book, Kenzie McCloud, is even more alive and vibrant than Zoey and Jillian from the first two books. Combined with digging (in this case literally) into the past we also have a look at a future that could destroy the entire changeling species.
Kenzie is emotionally damaged causing her to have a very strong racist attitude toward all humans and trust issues up the whazzoo! As with the lead charactors in the first two books, Kenzie is strong and independant with a "take no prisoners" attitude. I loved her.
Add in a human with a lot of patience and a little girl who stole my heart and you have what I believe is the best of the series so far.
As with the first two books all of the supporting charactors are a part of this book in some way, adding a feeling of continuity to the entire series. We get to find out how the charactors from the earlier books are doing without having them walk all over the new book. And, in the end, I felt like I could look forward to finding out where the whole family goes from here.
I won't give it away, but I really liked the ending.
This is an awesome series!!! I read the first book in a couple days, then immediately went online and downloaded the other two in the series. All were exceptional!! Dani Harper is comparable to Ann Rice, in my opinion. I've tried to find other books as well written as Rice and Harper's, but they all seem to be either paranormal porn or horrific violence with little or no plot. Harper fleshes out her characters, stays on track, has all the suspense necessary and finishes the tale. I wish she could write faster than I could read, though.... I've already read everything she's done, so far.
I'm not really sure what it was that drew me in and made me buy the book, but I'm glad I did. This was the third book in the series, and the first in the series was the first I'd ever read by Dani Harper. The reason I waited to review the books till I got thru with this one is because I barely stopped long enough between books to think about a review. The series was that good. I couldn't wait to read the next one. The storyline was not all that different from the rest of the shifter romances out there, but her characters were lovable and the story well written, so much so it all felt more real than fantasy. What I found most appealing is the fact that unlike a lot of shifter romances she took the time to give a well written story with a plot, adventure and romance, not just all about the sex.
I recommend reading all three stories if you're thinking of giving this one a shot, you won't be disappointed.
After reading the first two book in this trilogy, I really looked forward to reading book number 3. I wasn't disappointed, this is the best one, in my opinion, so far. After reading the Twilight Series and several other paranormal series, I was skeptical about whether I would like a werewolf (Changeling) book or not. I know that most of these paranormal series' are tailored toward the YA audience, and since I haven't been a YA in 45 years, I wasn't sure how I would like these. All three of these books were great. They are for the mature young adult as there are some love scenes that will make you blush.
What I liked best were the story lines and how the author brought her characters to life. They were fun and truly made me a follower of hers.
I have seen that she will be putting out another book in a new series in August, and I can't wait. I recommend her books highly.
